As Carry On Gets Closer to Takeoff, Here’s What to Expect at the Plane-Themed Bar

Carry On is an immersive airplane-themed cocktail bar in Downtown Phoenix inspired by the glamour of 1960s and 1970s luxury air travel. Developed by Pretty Decent Concepts and designed by Peter Bowden, the experience transports guests into a richly detailed aircraft cabin through wood cladding, leather seating, chrome accents, ambient lighting, and vintage aviation-inspired details.
Guests begin their 90-minute experience by checking in at Wren & Wolf before crossing a jet bridge and boarding the “aircraft.” The experience includes a ticket, welcome cocktail, pre-recorded safety briefing, in-flight video displayed through cabin windows, and seating for up to 30 passengers.
Carry On’s cocktail program blends period-inspired drinks with rotating selections based on a designated departure point and arrival destination. The opening “flight” travels from San Francisco to Mexico City, with the route changing every 12 months. Guests also receive complimentary chef-driven, airline-themed snacks rather than a traditional full food menu.
