An Ambitious New Hospitality Group Is Opening a Diner, a Cafe, and a Bar in Austin
The iconic restroom in Powder Room, the speakeasy of Manny’s in downtown Austin. One of the first hospitality concepts introduced by Lobos Hospitality, this concept was brought to life by Peter Bowden of PETERMAX Co.
Eater Austin introduces Lobos Hospitality and its plans to open three distinct concepts across Austin: South Congress diner Toasty Badger, downtown sandwich shop Manny’s and hidden cocktail lounge Powder Room.
The article describes Manny’s as a casual restaurant offering sandwiches, bowls, salads, smoothies and snacks within the Hanover Republic Square development. Its interior draws from the building’s Art Deco character and extends into a garden-inspired patio.
Concealed within Manny’s, Powder Room was conceived as a more intimate cocktail environment with residential proportions, retro influences, live music and tableside drink preparation. Eater credits interior designer Peter Bowden of PETERMAX Co. as the design firm responsible for both Manny’s and Powder Room.
