Downtown Austin Sandwich Shop Manny’s and Cocktail Bar Powder Room Open

Manny’s and Powder Room open together at 301 West Fifth Street in Downtown Austin. Manny’s serves as a casual sandwich shop and café, while Powder Room operates through a back entrance as a cocktail bar and lounge.
Manny’s offers classic sandwiches, salads, bowls, smoothies, tartines, and vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The space combines indoor and outdoor dining with lush planting, Art Deco-inspired artwork, and a relaxed café atmosphere.
Powder Room serves classic and house cocktails, including a tableside cocktail service that allows guests to customize their drinks. The bar also includes snacks, live music, and other performances, creating a more intimate and theatrical experience behind Manny’s.
The combined Manny’s and Powder Room space is designed by Peter Bowden of PETERMAX Co. for Lobos Hospitality. The hospitality group’s founders—Grace Chow, Eric Kemp, and Jason Ellefson—developed the concepts as part of their growing Austin restaurant portfolio.
