Scottsdale Princess Reimagines Toro

Phoenix Business Journal profiled the transformation of Toro Scottsdale following its reopening at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. Designed by PETERMAX Co., the renovation gives the restaurant a more independent identity—one shaped by warm earth tones, lush planting, expressive lighting, patterned upholstery and a mix of intimate and group dining areas.
The new interior moves Toro beyond the conventions of a golf-course restaurant while preserving its panoramic views of TPC Scottsdale. Curved banquettes, richly textured finishes, custom furnishings and oversized fringed fixtures create a layered setting suited to everyday dining, private events and more theatrical tableside experiences.
The article also highlights Toro’s refreshed Latin-Asian menu, developed under chef Richard Sandoval and executive chef Gage Smit. Together, the redesigned environment and expanded dining program position Toro as a destination in its own right within the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.
