OpenTable features Tán, a Mexican seafood restaurant in Midtown East that brings the feeling of Tulum into a Manhattan dining room. The restaurant pairs Mexican coastal cuisine with a warm, transportive interior shaped around natural materials, softened light and a lush beachside atmosphere.

Peter Bowden of PETERMAX Co. designs the 139-seat restaurant to balance Tulum’s relaxed coastal character with Midtown sophistication. Downstairs, Lúm creates a moodier 45-seat speakeasy experience with cave-like ceilings, warm candlelight and a more intimate version of the world upstairs.
