TRIBEZA includes Austin Sports Club in its roundup of the city’s most anticipated restaurant and bar openings of 2026. The downtown concept brings together Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman through Boardroom, Joe Gebbia and Austin-based Lobos Hospitality.
The publication describes Austin Sports Club as an elevated alternative to the conventional sports bar. Renderings reveal a richly layered interior shaped by dark wood, intimate seating and ambient lighting, setting the stage for an upscale sports dining experience rather than a room dominated by screens.
Designed by Peter Maxwell Bowden and PETERMAX Co., the project draws on the character of traditional athletic clubs while giving the familiar archetype a contemporary hospitality sensibility. Integrated sports imagery and technology remain central to the experience, but the materials, lighting and furniture give the room the polish of a private club.
TRIBEZA also highlights the concept’s curated beverage program and globally inspired menu, positioning Austin Sports Club as a versatile gathering place for after-work drinks, client meetings and nights out among Austin’s athletes, creatives and business community.
