Arizona Foothills Magazine previews the November 21, 2025 opening of Cleaverman and Filthy Martini Bar at Arizona Center in downtown Phoenix. Designed by Peter Bowden of PETERMAX Co. for Pretty Decent Concepts, the interconnected venues pair the ceremony and swagger of a classic American steakhouse with the cinematic glamour of a late-night piano lounge.

Cleaverman is conceived as the domain of an imagined master butcher and the leader of an elite guild shaped by ritual, rigor and apprenticeship. Rich materials, sculptural details, intimate dining zones and a dramatic bar establish an environment intended to feel as though it has existed for decades. The culinary program centers on dry-aged beef, prime rib, wagyu, seafood and a meticulously developed cocktail menu.

Reached through a back corridor, Filthy Martini Bar shifts into a moody, golden environment layered with burlwood, warm metals, live piano and polished tableside service. Together, the two venues translate Pretty Decent Concepts’ narrative-driven approach into distinct yet connected dining and nightlife experiences.
