Forbes Spotlights Carry On Airlines’ Gold Key Award
Peter Bowden and PETERMAX Co.’s design for Carry On Airlines transforms an intimate Phoenix cocktail bar into the richly detailed cabin of a glamorous 1970s jetliner. Curved leather banquettes follow a row of illuminated aircraft windows, while small cocktail tables, glowing amber lamps and warm concealed lighting evoke the atmosphere of an after-dark flight. The windows display imagery rendered from real aerial footage captured over California and Mexico, extending the illusion of travel beyond the cabin. Forbes recognized the immersive concept while reporting on Carry On Airlines’ receipt of the Judges’ So Cool Award at the 2025 Gold Key Awards.
