Chron reports that Kevin Durant is entering the hospitality business with Austin Sports Club, a new dining and entertainment destination scheduled to open September 10, 2026, in downtown Austin. The project brings together Durant and Boardroom Hospitality with Austin-based Lobos Hospitality.
Austin Sports Club is conceived as a modern interpretation of the storied American athletic club: a place where sports, food and genuine hospitality share equal billing. The venue is intended to serve as a gathering place for Austin’s sports and business communities, recalling an era when the club itself was an occasion worth dressing for.
Peter Maxwell Bowden and PETERMAX Co. designed the 4,700-square-foot interior and 500-square-foot patio. Renderings published by Chron reveal a richly detailed environment of warm wood, tailored booths, marble tables, softly glowing fixtures and integrated screens that keep sports visible without allowing the technology to overpower the room.
The culinary program balances familiar game-day appeal with a more refined approach, including premium cuts, seafood, lobster rolls, arancini and shareable dishes. Sports-inspired cocktails, weekend brunch and a carefully selected beverage program complete the experience.
