Carry On Airlines is showcased in Boutique Design's Winter 2025/2026 Gold Key Issue as the winner of the Gold Key Award for Bar, Club & Lounge. Inspired by the romance of 1970s air travel, the immersive cocktail lounge transforms a compact Phoenix storefront into an experiential destination that blurs the line between architecture, storytelling, and hospitality.
The feature highlights the project's carefully choreographed sequence of arrival, custom walnut millwork, brass detailing, vintage aviation references, and cinematic lighting, all of which contributed to its selection as the category winner. Boutique Design also recognizes Drop Dead Gorgeous, another PETERMAX Co. project, as a finalist in the same Bar, Club & Lounge category, underscoring the studio's continued impact on hospitality design.
