PETERMAX Co. earned two recognitions in the 2025 Hospitality Design Awards. Carry On Airlines in Phoenix was named a winner, while Powder Room in Austin was selected as a finalist in the Bar, Club + Lounge category.

Designed by Peter Bowden and PETERMAX Co. for Pretty Decent Concepts, Carry On Airlines is an immersive cocktail bar inspired by the glamour of 1960s and 1970s air travel. The project recreates a complete passenger experience through its jetway entrance, airplane cabin interior, vintage aviation details, boarding pass-style menus, and era-inspired uniforms.

The award recognizes Carry On’s ability to unite interior design, storytelling, and hospitality into one fully immersive experience. Warm wood paneling, leather seating, airplane-style windows, brass details, and carefully controlled lighting create the atmosphere of a luxury flight from another era.

Powder Room, designed by Peter Bowden and PETERMAX Co. for Lobos Hospitality, was named a finalist in the Bar, Club + Lounge category. Located behind Manny’s in Downtown Austin, the cocktail lounge uses rich materials, warm lighting, Art Deco-inspired details, and tableside cocktail service to create a more intimate and theatrical experience.

Together, the two recognitions reflect PETERMAX Co.’s work across two distinct hospitality concepts: an immersive airline-themed cocktail bar in Phoenix and a concealed, performance-oriented lounge in Austin.
